Hello, world!

Welcome to my blog. This is the very first post published to run you through what I’ll be writing about here.

Welcome to my blog. This is probably the 25th attempt at launching a blog on this domain within the last two decades. The major difference between this attempt and the previous 24? I’m dead set on making this one last, simply because I truly believe in the message behind the blog. Ready to join along for the ride?

If you’re not familiar with who I am exactly (and why should you be, let’s be honest), I’m some guy from the UK who has covered the technology sector for the past decade. As well as creating an insane amount of written content on a daily basis, I also grew fond of investing. Namely dividend-focused investing.

I’m going to start this off with a small disclaimer, which can also be found at the bottom of every page on my blog. I’m not a financial advisor, nor do I have decades of experience of day trading. However, I do recommend you take what I publish here and use it as part of your rigorous research before making any financial decisions. when in doubt, always consult a professional.

What you’ll find here on my blog are writings surrounding a few topics:

  • Blogging.
  • Dividend investing.
  • Personal finance.
  • Life.
Enjoying the lakes at Center Parcs.

Blogging has been a passion of mine since the early 2000s, alongside community management with forums. I’ll be publishing some helpful guides for those looking to start their own blog, since I’ve created more than I can recall, as well as some experiences along the way with this current iteration.

Dividend investing will cover all things related to the stock market. I’d call myself a dividend investor, in that I analyse companies I’m fond of to see which are best suited to my portfolio risk assessment. I respect those who believe in both fundamental and technical analysis. You should do your homework, but only invest in companies that you believe in.

As well as investing, personal finance plays a large role in my life, managing outgoings to better shield myself against real world changes. I’ll be running through tips and tricks to make the most of your money, even if you don’t want to mess with the stock market. Lastly, life covers everything else.

It’s going to be one amazing journey and is one I do hope you’ll stick around to accompany me on. Feel free to bookmark this blog, follow me on social media, and take a look around. Thanks!

Rich creates content for the top Windows-focused publication, but by night he tries to make his money work for him and rambles far too much here.
