Dividend Tracker 0.92 update: Fixing UK totals

Fixing another minor error with the dividend tracker.

Having the spreadsheet dividend tracker calculate just how much weight you have in each of your stock holdings is handy to better diversify your portfolio. This is how it’s supposed to work, but that depends solely on me getting the formulae working to make it all happen. Unfortunately, I broke the said formulae in a recent update to the UK template.

The data tab holds most of the magic for the spreadsheet to work, including the stock diversity chart on the summary tab. I updated the spreadsheet recently to allow you to switch between GBX and GBP on the UK market tab, which created a new column.

I thought I updated everything, but alas it seems the UK template passed through without being altered. Thankfully, someone smarter than I managed to spot the issue and gave me a heads up. After fixing the formulae, the stock diversity chart will now correctly populate on the summary tab.

Changelog

  • Fixed incorrect formulae in the Data tab for the UK template. (Thanks, Mike for spotting the error!)

How do I update my tracker?

This is an easy update to apply to your UK template. Simply follow these steps:

  1. Change the top-most EU and US cells (C14 and E14 in the template) on the Data tab to =SUMIF(EU!B$2:B,A14,EU!I$2:I) and =SUMIF(US!B$2:B,A14,US!I$2:I), respectively.
  2. Change the top UK cell (D14 in the template) to =SUMIF(UK!B$2:B,A14,UK!J$2:J).
  3. Drag these new cells all the way down to copy the new formulae to each subsequent row.
